ABOUT
Michael Donaghey is a graduate of Letterkenny Institute of Technology completing a degree in Construction and Fire Technology before focusing on Fire Safety Engineering. Theoretical knowledge married to first hand practical experience, Michael brings both to his job having worked as a front line firefighter, having been involved in countless calls over a 25 year span, including commercial and domestic fires, chemical incidents, and serious road traffic collisions. His work as a fire fighter provides invaluable first hand and operational experience of fire and a unique insight into the practical side of fire safety applications. It is this experience that allows Michael to take into account the pre-occupation of the individual fire officers and pre-empt the issues they are likely to raise and address them in advance.
Michael is a member of Engineers Ireland and is currently working towards achieving his chartered Engineers status and regularly attends Fire Safety Division talks and seminars as part of his continuous professional development.
